What we treat

The natural healing source for our treatments in Hodonín Spa is iodobromine water, which is amongst the highest quality water of its type in Europe. Iodobromine water has a high iodine content with a low mineralisation.

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of a rheumatologist from II stage with 'b' class incapacity.

VII / 2 Ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterews disease) 28 P, F

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of a rheumatologist from II stage with 'b' class incapacity, being treated at a rheumatology or rehabilitation ward.

VII / 3 Other seronegative spondyloarthropathies (psoriatic arthritis, Reiters syndrome, enteropathic arthritis) and reactive (parainfectious) and secondary arthritis

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of a rheumatologist:

-on spine inflictions of II and higher degrees in accordance with classification for ankylosing spondylitis

-with chronic arthritis of peripheral joints from II degree in accordance with classification for rheumatoid arthritis.

VII / 8 Painful syndromes of tendon insertions, from bursae, subcutaneous tissues, fat and muscles including conditions caused by work with vibrating tools and excessive one-way overload, extra-articular rheumatism, systematic and localised. 21 P, F
Full spa care can be provided in accordance with Section 33 para. 7 of the law.
VII / 9 Hip joint arthritis continually treated

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of a rheumatologist, orthopaedist or rehabilitative doctor from the III phase with incapacity class b and exceptionally from II where progession is rapid with frequent pain. For obese patients, repeated treatment possible after proof of weight loss.

VII / 10 Knee joint arthritis continually treated

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of a rheumatologist, orthopaedist or rehabilitative doctor from the III phase with incapacity class b and exceptionally from II where progession is rapid with frequent pain. For obese patients, repeated treatment possible after proof of weight loss.
VII / 11 Osteoarthritis in other localisations (including Heberdens polyarthritis with an impairment of hand and feet joints). 21 P, F

Full spa care can be provided exceptionally on the recommendation of a rheumatologist, orthopaedist or rehabilitative doctor for rhizarthrosis, Heberdens nodes, omarthritis or generalised polyarthrosis where the illness causes repeated or long-term work incapacity.

VII / 12 Functional or degenerative vertebrogenic algic syndrome, continually treated. 21 P, F

Full spa care can be provided exceptionally on the recommendation of a rehabilitative doctor only for etiological malfunctions where treatment and regimes are in place to prevent reduction in working capacity. Repeated full spa care not expected.

VII / 14 Conditions after injuries to the locomotive system and after orthopaedic operations, including conditions after surgeries of intervertebral discs and stenoses of the spinal canal.

Full spa care can be provided on the recommendation of an orthopaedist, neurosurgeon, neurologist or rehabilitative doctor up to 1 year after serious injuries or operations with significant locomotive limitations or disturbance of the locomotive system.

Contraindications

General conditions unsuitable for spa treatment

  • Infections and fevers
  • Heart or lung deficiencies
  • Serious liver or kidney disease with deteriorating function
  • Fluctuating diabetes
  • Fluctuating hypertension (high blood pressure - lower value over 120 torr)
  • Tumours - even where treatment of the tumour has finished, permission from oncologist should be sought
  • Epilepsy - if a fit has occurred in the previous two years
  • haemorragic conditions of any type
  • Inflammations of deep or surface veins up to 3 months from symptoms abating
  • Skin wounds which are not healing and ulcers of any type
  • Faecal or urinary incontinence
  • Serious mental illness
  • Alcohol or other drug addictions
  • Pregnancy
  • Long-term or repeating illness of unclear origins - origin of illness should first be sought out
